Are you a caring professional with a background in clinical work or education? We are looking for a Direct Care Support Professional to provide one-on-one support for someone in the Lititz area.

This is more than a traditional caregiving role. It is for someone who understands that behavior is often a way of communicating. Are you a caring professional with a background in clinical work or education? We are looking for a Direct Care Support Professional to provide 2:1 support for young man in the Lititz area.
 
This is more than a traditional caregiving role. It is for someone who understands that behavior is often a way of communicating. You will help create a supportive, person-centered environment by building trust, helping with emotional regulation, and supporting meaningful community involvement.
  
Who We’re Looking For
·       Qualified: You have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Social Work, or Recreational Therapy, or a certificate from NADD. You want to use your experience in a hands-on, meaningful role.
·       Relationship-focused: You know that trust comes first. You use encouragement, patience, and planning to help someone succeed.
·       Thoughtful and observant: You notice patterns, keep clear notes, and work well with a team to improve support plans.
·       Calm under pressure: You can stay steady and supportive during challenging moments.

What You’ll Do
·       Provide personalized support: Follow and help guide support plans based on the person’s interests, strengths, and sensory needs.
·       Support emotional regulation: Use positive, proven strategies to help the person stay calm, feel safe, and work through difficult moments.
·       Encourage community involvement: Help the person take part in his community in ways that are meaningful, respectful,  comfortable, and fun!
·       Keep clear records: Track support needs, progress, trends, and important milestones through notes and data collection.

Qualifications
·       Education: NADD certificate or Bachelor’s degree (Psychology, Education, Social Work, or Recreational Therapy) required. 
·       Experience: Experience with behavior support is a plus.
·       Requirements: Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to pass required background clearances.
