Our State Farm independent contractor agency in Staten Island, NY is looking for a motivated Account Representative to sell auto, home, life, and other insurance products.

Previous insurance experience is helpful, but not required. We provide training and licensing support for the right salesperson.

What You’ll Do

  • Sell auto, home, life, and other insurance products
  • Work company-provided leads and opportunities within our existing customer base
  • Conduct needs-based sales conversations and insurance reviews
  • Make outbound calls and consistently follow up with prospects
  • Quote coverage and present insurance recommendations
  • Ask for the sale, overcome objections, and close new business
  • Cross-sell additional products to address customer coverage needs
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and follow-up schedule
  • Meet weekly and monthly activity and production goals
  • Build relationships that generate retention and referrals
What We’re Looking For

  • 1–2 years of sales experience preferred
  • Comfortable working toward sales goals and performance metrics
  • Confident communicating by phone and following up with prospects
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and coachable
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organized and consistent with follow-up
  • Comfortable learning technology and sales systems
Experience in insurance, automotive sales, wireless, banking, financial services, real estate, home improvement, membership sales, or another goal-driven sales environment is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $65,000–$85,000+ expected total annual compensation, including base salary, commissions, and bonuses
