Overview
The Lube Center Assistant Manager supports the Lube Center Manager in overseeing daily operations, supervising team members, and delivering fast, professional, high-quality automotive service. This role is ideal for a dependable leader with automotive service knowledge, strong customer service skills, and the ability to keep a busy service center running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with day-to-day lube center operations to ensure smooth workflow, efficient service, and a positive customer experience.
· Supervise, support, and motivate a team of 4–5 lube technicians in a fast-paced service environment.
· Oversee oil changes, vehicle inspections, fluid services, and related maintenance to ensure work is completed properly and efficiently.
· Train and guide new employees on automotive service procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations.
· Promote a team-oriented, safety-conscious work environment and help ensure safety protocols are followed.
· Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, explaining services and pricing, and resolving concerns promptly.
· Monitor inventory of parts, fluids, and supplies and communicate replenishment needs as appropriate.
· Assist with staff scheduling and workflow management to keep vehicles moving through the service process quickly and accurately.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service center.
· Work closely with the Lube Center Manager to support operational goals, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
· Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
· Automotive service knowledge, including oil changes, inspections, and fluid replacement.
· Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Dependable, organized, and committed to maintaining high service and safety standards.
Working Conditions
Environment: Frequent exposure to outside weather elements, noise, and vehicle exhaust fumes throughout the entire shift.
Physical Activities: Position requires good corrected vision, hearing, frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, handling, reaching, and lifting.
