Job Title: Kitchen Manager - Eclipse Drum and Bugle Corps
Job Type: Part-Time
Location: Midwest, USA
Salary Range: $8.00 - $11.00
Reports To: Tour Director - Eclipse Drum and Bugle Corps

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all kitchen operations and food service logistics for the program throughout the competitive season
  • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, high-volume meals to support the physical demands of corps members and staff
  • Manage food inventory, ordering, and supply chain to ensure consistent availability of ingredients and supplies
  • Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
  • Lead, train, and coordinate kitchen volunteers and support staff during rehearsals and tour
  • Manage kitchen budget, track expenses, and minimize food waste
  • Adapt meal planning and preparation to accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and nutritional needs
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in kitchen management, food service, or culinary operations
  • Strong knowledge of high-volume meal preparation and institutional cooking
  • Food handler certification or ServSafe certification preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of volunteers and staff
  • Flexibility to travel and work extended hours during the drum corps competitive season
  • Passion for the marching arts and commitment to supporting performing athletes
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Pass a background check (driving position will require a MV check)
Additional Details:
  • Flexible schedule allowed
  • Overtime and weekend work will be required in the summer.
  • Work will be done in varying conditions.
  • The position requires weekend of availability between November - May.
  • June - August requires multiple weeks or sequential days of availability.  
Compensation and Benefits
  • Bi-weekly pay at agreed upon rate
  • Organization bonus (depending, in part, on organization, program, and individual performance). 
  • 401k with matching.
  • Four meals a day during rehearsal weekends and summer tour
  • Housing during rehearsal weekends and summer tour
  • Travel provided during summer tour
Compensation: $8.00 - $11.00 per hour
