Full Job Description
Global Protection & Investigations (GPI) is hiring dependable and professional Mobile Patrol Officers for our Wednesday–Sunday night patrol schedule.
PLEASE READ THE SCHEDULE REQUIREMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
Applicants must be consistently available Wednesday through Sunday during nighttime and overnight hours. Monday and Tuesday are the regularly scheduled days off.
This is an active field position involving vehicle and foot patrols across multiple assigned properties. Officers respond to calls for service, complete property checks, address security concerns, document incidents, and maintain a professional security presence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle and foot patrols
- Complete scheduled property and security checks
- Respond to dispatched calls for service
- Monitor buildings, parking areas, gates, entrances, and common areas
- Identify suspicious activity, safety hazards, and property damage
- Address trespassing and unauthorized persons in accordance with company policy and applicable law
- Conduct building and perimeter checks
- Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident reports
- Maintain communication with dispatch and field supervision
- Follow post orders, company policies, and chain of command
- Safely operate company vehicles and assigned equipment
- Contact law enforcement, fire, or EMS when appropriate
- Perform additional patrol duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work Wednesday–Sunday nights
- Reliable transportation to/from reporting location
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear, professional security reports
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
Previous mobile patrol or private security experience is preferred. Military, law enforcement, corrections, fire/EMS, public-safety, dispatch, or electronic security reporting experience is also valued.
Physical Requirements
Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of a mobile security position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including walking and standing for extended periods, repeatedly entering/exiting patrol vehicles, extended driving, foot patrols, outdoor nighttime work, and use of radios and mobile security equipment.
Required Availability
WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY – NIGHT/OVERNIGHT SHIFT
This opening is specifically intended to cover GPI's Wednesday–Sunday nighttime patrol operations. Applicants should only apply if they can reliably maintain this schedule.
