About the Role:
Caremed Primary and Urgent Care PC is looking for an energetic and organized Full-Time Receptionist to join our busy primary care team in Selden, NY. This is a dynamic dual-role opportunity where you'll be at the heart of patient care. At least 1 year experience as a medical receptionist is required. The office is open every other Saturday so weekend may be required. If you thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and love making a difference in patients' lives, we want to hear from you!
Education / Certification Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma.
Basic computer skills required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greeting and assisting patients
- Answering phones in a timely manner
- Taking accurate and concise messages for the doctors and medical assistants
- Patient scheduling based on practice guidelines
- Perform the patient check-in process to ensure accurate collection of information and copayments/co-insurance
- Generating electronic referrals
- Verify insurance coverage
- Making sure that the daily copay/coinsurance collections are correctly documented and proved out at the end of the day
- Responsible for making sure that the waiting room is keep clean and neat
- Training new staff in policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
