Location: South Charlotte – Multiple Locations
Job Type: Part-Time | Substitute / As Needed
Compensation: Competitive Pay | Based on Experience
- Provide classroom coverage and support as assigned
- Maintain active supervision and ensure children's safety
- Follow classroom schedules, routines, and lesson plans
- Engage children in age-appropriate learning and play
- Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, rest periods, and transitions as appropriate
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom
- Follow health, sanitation, safety, licensing, and school requirements
- Use positive guidance and classroom management practices
- Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership
- Complete required classroom documentation
- Maintain confidentiality
- Flex between classrooms, age groups, and school locations as needed
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- Dependable, patient, nurturing, and flexible
- Genuine love for working with children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working with infants through school-age children
- Ability to adapt to different classrooms and teaching teams
- Reliable transportation to travel between South Charlotte locations
- Previous childcare, preschool, babysitting, camp, or youth experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain
- Early Childhood Education coursework, CDA, or credentials are a plus
