Staff needed to provide direct care to a medically fragile young woman living in the Downingtown/West Chester  area who has multiple diagnoses. She loves going places and doing things and being involved in her community. Her staff needs to support her through her structured routines and meaningful volunteer jobs. Applicants must have experience in behavioral support, TSS/PCA experience, or  Camphill School type programming is preferred. We are looking for a caring and energetic self-starter who can provide assistance with all personal care needs, follow the positive behavior plan, and work with the team to give her an opportunity to enjoy life. 
 
You will be working in the home and going out in the community to assist with volunteer activities with this young woman as well as going to ACAC, the arcade, bowling, cooking and weaving classes. She also has a seizure diagnosis, and so experience skillfully responding to seizures is necessary, additional individual training on this will be provided by the family. She also has a feeding tube that she uses for medications and additional fluids as needed. She needs assistance with all Activities of Daily Living, including assistance with toileting, personal care, and monitoring for her health and safety.
 
Applicants must be attentive, patient, willing to learn new skills and be a team player. Be comfortable around dogs and farm animals.
 
You must: 
Have a bachelor’s degree in one of these related fields: Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a current NADD Competency-Based IDD/MI Dual Diagnosis Direct Support Professional Certification. A CNA, LPN, ADN, or RBT certification OR at least 2 years of experience working direct support with special needs individuals.
Be reliable, punctual, and responsible 
Pass a drug test and the PA Background Check 
Must be able to provide a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and registration.
Reliable vehicle that you will use for work .
Be fully vaccinated.
Have first-aid training

The hours needed are flexible but mainly Monday through Friday 8:30 – 6:00 with occasional nights and weekends
 
The pay rate ranges from ___$23__ to __$32_ an hour depending on experience and education.  
 
 
 
Compensation: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
