About the Role
Vargas Gonzalez Delombard LLP is seeking a talented, driven, and experienced Attorney to join our growing legal team. This position offers an opportunity to work with our teams in both Illinois and Missouri in a collaborative and fast-paced environment where your expertise, initiative, and ambition will be valued and rewarded.
The ideal candidate is a strong advocate with excellent legal research and writing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage a diverse caseload while working collaboratively with the firm's attorneys and staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage and litigate a diverse caseload from inception through resolution.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal correspondence.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop case strategy and support client representation.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and other legal proceedings.
- Provide sound legal counsel and guidance to clients on complex legal matters.
- Collaborate with partners and associates to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and client records in compliance with firm standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties involved in legal matters.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active Illinois bar license and good standing with the Illinois Supreme Court.
- Proven experience in legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, cases, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and client-focused service.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active bar license and good standing in both Illinois and Missouri.
- Experience practicing in Missouri or handling matters involving Missouri law or courts.
- Experience working with clients and matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience managing a caseload independently from inception through resolution.

This is a remote position.
Compensation: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
