About the Role:
Sullivan Hauling is looking for a skilled Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team in New Oxford, PA! If you're passionate about keeping big rigs running at peak performance and take pride in quality work, this is your opportunity to be a vital part of a hardworking crew that keeps operations moving.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and fleet vehicles
- Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrain components
- Inspect and repair hydraulic systems, suspension, and steering components
- Conduct DOT inspection readiness checks and ensure vehicles meet compliance standards
- Document all maintenance and repair work accurately in service records
- Identify parts needs and coordinate with management for timely procurement
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a heavy truck or diesel mechanic
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing Class 6-8 trucks and diesel engines
- Experience with DOT regulations and commercial vehicle inspection standards
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and software for modern truck systems
- Must supply own hand tools; specialty tools provided
- CDL preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and a team player

Compensation: $38.00 - $60.00 per hour
Founded in 2017 and based in New Oxford, Pennsylvania, Sullivan Hauling is a full-service transportation company with a dedicated tri-axle dump truck division and a versatile tractor-trailer fleet. Our work includes end-dump, flatbed, step-deck, tanker, dry-van, power-only, bulk material, construction, industrial, and commercial hauling.
Our team is supported by dedicated dispatch, experienced driver trainers, and equipment maintenance through our sister company, Stone Fleet Solutions. We’re building a team of professionals who take pride in their equipment, communicate clearly, and deliver safe, reliable service for our customers.
Driver qualification: Due to insurance requirements, an applicant's first driver's license, in any class, must have been issued at least nine years ago, and the applicant's first CDL must have been issued at least two years ago.
