About the Role:
Divine Homes Healthcare Services LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our part-time team in Reston, VA. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Support community integration by accompanying clients to appointments, outings, and social activities
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions per care plan guidelines
- Encourage skill-building, independence, and self-advocacy among clients
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or a related healthcare field preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings and weekends
