Job Summary
As a Server at State Fare, you’ll have the opportunity to earn up to $32.00 per hour based on earning potential. You;ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. You’ll guide guests through our menu, offer expert recommendations, and deliver exceptional service with genuine warmth. One must be passionate about hospitality, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and love being part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Stay current on all menu items, daily features, and any updates
- Present menus, make thoughtful suggestions, assist with drink selections, and describe preparation methods
- Maintain a polished dining experience—serving courses, refilling beverages, and attending to guest needs
- Confidently open and pour wine tableside
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of service areas
- Support team efforts during special events and high-volume shifts
- Greet every guest warmly and sincerely
- Communicate menu items, ingredients, and allergy information effectively
- Commit to the highest standards of guest service and food safety
- Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant
- Able to multi-task
- Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces
- Customer service focused and solution oriented
- Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs
- Food handler's card may be required according to local and or state regulations
