Do you love finding discrepancies, making the numbers balance, building smart Excel tools, and solving accounting problems others can't quite figure out?
Insight Restoration is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to own the higher-level, hands-on accounting work that keeps our financial information accurate, useful, and dependable.
This is not a people-management position. Our accounting team includes a separate team member responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections. This role focuses on general ledger accuracy, close, financial reporting, job costing, reconciliations, payroll and billing accuracy, T&M accounting, systems, and process improvement.
You'll work independently, dig into the details, solve discrepancies, improve processes, and turn complex financial information into clear answers for leadership.
What You'll Own
· General ledger accuracy, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end close
· Preparation and analysis of financial statements, cash flow, gross profit, and management reporting
· Job costing and profitability reporting for mitigation and reconstruction projects
· Advanced Excel models, pivot tables, analysis, reconciliations, and reporting tools
· QuickBooks and integrations across payroll, expense, timekeeping, job-management, and other accounting systems
· Internal controls, accounting procedures, documentation, and process improvements
· Payroll and benefits accounting reconciliations, including review for accuracy and discrepancy resolution
· T&M Pro / TM+ billing support, documentation, reconciliation, and related accounting processes
· Accounting, payroll, and client-billing reconciliation for On Call Labor, including review and correction of weekly spreadsheets and confirmation that ADP, payroll records, and billing agree
· Financial and accounting support for contracts, agreements, audits, tax preparation, and special projects
· Cross-functional accounting support and backup as needed, while AP, AR, invoicing, and collections remain primarily assigned to another accounting team member
You'll Be a Great Fit If You...
· Have strong senior-level accounting knowledge and understand accounting beyond simply entering transactions
· Are exceptionally strong in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, and building practical reporting tools
· Love finding discrepancies and figuring out why something doesn't balance
· Have solid experience with month-end close, financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
· Can independently research complicated problems, determine the root cause, and develop practical solutions
· Are highly organized, analytical, accurate, and comfortable owning multiple deadlines
· Enjoy improving systems and creating repeatable, documented processes
· Communicate clearly and can explain financial information to non-accounting leaders
· Prefer being hands-on in the work rather than managing a large accounting team
Strong plus: QuickBooks, job costing, construction/restoration accounting, T&M billing, ADP payroll reconciliations, or ERP/CRM integrations.
