Medication Technicians will be responsible for medication administration and documentation while working alongside HHAs and other facility staff to support the overall care and well-being of residents.
Available Shifts
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
All shifts are 8 hours.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications according to physician orders and facility procedures
- Accurately document medication administration
- Maintain medication records and follow proper medication protocols
- Monitor residents and report changes or concerns to appropriate nursing staff
- Work alongside HHAs and assist with resident care when an extra hand is needed
- Assist with resident safety, comfort, mobility, and other care needs as appropriate
- Communicate effectively with residents and facility staff
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
- Follow infection-control, safety, and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
- Current Medication Technician/Medication Aide certification as required in New Jersey
- Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or another facility setting is preferred
- Comfortable assisting with resident care when needed
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to work well as part of a care team
- Must meet all required background check and onboarding requirements
- Valid means of transportation
