The right person enjoys both the studio floor and the leadership work behind it: coaching people, giving clear feedback, solving problems, and following through and creating a great member experience.
- Teach approximately 10-12 BODYBAR Pilates classes per week with energy, safety, and consistency.
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and retain a strong instructor team.
- Build and manage class schedules based on member demand, instructor availability, and studio performance.
- Observe classes, give useful feedback, and maintain consistent BODYBAR programming and member experience standards.
- Help with community events, local partnerships, and member engagement activities.
- Create a welcoming, service-focused studio environment before, during, and after class.
- Work with studio leadership to review key performance indicators, member feedback, instructor performance, and schedule utilization.
- Keep equipment, training records, and studio readiness organized; identify maintenance needs and coordinate follow-up.
- Support the team through clear communication, accountability, and a positive, professional culture.
- Help with social media content and posts
- At least 4 years of fitness-industry experience, including 2 years in a leadership, management, or instructor-development role.
- One or more of the following: degree in Exercise Science or related field, accredited personal-training or group-fitness certification, or 500-hour Pilates certification.
- Experience coaching or mentoring instructors and giving direct, constructive feedback.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and comfort using technology.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine ability to connect with members, instructors, and community partners.
- A service-first, team-oriented leadership style.
- Availability for a flexible schedule that includes early mornings, evenings, and weekends as studio needs require.
- Willingness to complete required BODYBAR training and teach the BODYBAR Method.
- CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain it before teaching responsibilities begin.
- Want to lead a team, not just teach classes.
- Enjoy helping instructors grow and holding people to clear expectations.
- Believe a great studio is built through relationships, thoughtful coaching, and consistent execution.
- Are comfortable being visible in the community and talking with prospective members.
- Care about details, but can also keep the team focused on what matters most.
- Want to help create a studio where members and employees feel supported, and excited to return.
