About the Role:
John McDonald Painting Corp is looking for a talented and motivated Painter or Apprentice to join our crew in Agoura Hills, CA! Whether you're an experienced painter or just starting your career in the trades, this is a great opportunity to do quality work and grow your skills with a professional team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, patching, and priming
- Apply paint, stain, and coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
- Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, masking tape, and plastic sheeting
- Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and finishes
- Perform touch-ups and finish work to ensure clean, professional results
- Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and job sites
- Follow safety protocols and use proper PPE on all job sites
Requirements:
Apprentice-level candidates willing to learn the trade.

- Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and at various heights
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of surface prep, paint application techniques, and finishing
