Part-Time Morning Janitorial Cleaner
Indy Fiber and Surface Cleaning is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented janitorial cleaner for a commercial facility.
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Start Time: 6:00 a.m.
Hours: Approximately 3-3.5 hours per day
Weekends: No regularly scheduled weekends

Job Duties
Responsibilities include routine commercial cleaning such as:
- Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms
- Cleaning a large meeting/event room
- Cleaning kitchen and break areas
- Vacuuming carpeted areas
- Sweeping and mopping hard-surface floors
- Cleaning entrances and high-traffic areas
- Emptying trash and replacing liners
- Emptying designated exterior trash receptacles
- Dusting windowsills and accessible surfaces
- Cleaning mirrors, glass, doors, and high-touch surfaces
- Restocking restroom and building consumables
- Performing general spot cleaning as needed
- Following a scheduled cleaning rotation for lower-traffic areas
This position does not require cleaning employee desks or personal workspaces.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Is dependable and punctual
- Can consistently report to work by 6:00 a.m.
- Has reliable transportation
- Can work independently and manage time effectively
- Pays attention to detail
- Is comfortable performing physical cleaning duties, including bending, reaching, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and removing trash
- Can follow written cleaning procedures and client-specific instructions
Commercial janitorial experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
This is a part-time, Monday–Friday morning position ideal for someone seeking consistent weekday hours with afternoons and weekends available.
Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Mayrena King is the controlling and managing partner with over 10 years of experience in management, sales, and marketing, interestingly enough, in the field of IT. Mr. King possesses a law enforcement background and both owners possess master’s degrees. The husband-and-wife team has always had a desire to own their own business and after much research and thought, they decided to build a janitorial and flooring services company. Mayrena King’s background of management in the field of IT and her experience with clients that are highly dependent upon their technical systems, has allowed Mayrena to truly understand how to handle, take care of, and satisfy a client within a complex industry. Mayrena has found these skills to be highly transferable in the janitorial field. In 2016, an opportunity presented itself and Indy Fiber and Surface Cleaning moved to the Northwest Indiana area.
