Since 1990, Modern Remodeling has helped homeowners throughout the DMV area recover from storm damage, water losses, and other property damage. We are looking for an Insurance Restoration Estimator to join our team and help homeowners navigate the restoration process from inspection through project completion.
If you have experience in residential construction estimating, insurance restoration, or property claims, this is an opportunity to put your skills to work with an established company that provides consistent lead flow, an experienced office and production support team, and the opportunity to grow your earnings.
What You'll Do
- Inspect residential properties to evaluate storm, water, and other property damage
- Prepare accurate, detailed estimates using Xactimate
- Work directly with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and insurance carriers
- Manage claim documentation, estimate revisions, and supplements
- Communicate with adjusters to resolve scope and pricing differences
- Present repair options, upgrades, and material selections to homeowners
- Coordinate with internal team members to help move projects forward
- Deliver a positive customer experience while meeting company quality and profitability goals
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary plus commission
- $50,000–$100,000+ potential annual earnings, based on performance

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in residential construction estimating, insurance restoration, or property claims
- Xactimate experience preferred
- Understanding of construction methods, insurance scopes, or estimating practices
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple files, and follow through on commitments
- Willingness to conduct on-site property inspections and work directly with homeowners and adjusters
