Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Floor Installer to install, repair, and replace various types of flooring in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Measure and inspect work areas to determine flooring requirements.
Prepare floors by removing old flooring, cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces.
Install various flooring materials, including vinyl, laminate, hardwood, tile, and carpet.
Cut and fit flooring materials accurately around walls, corners, doors, and other obstacles.
Install baseboards, trim, transitions, and other finishing materials as needed.
Use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
Inspect completed installations to ensure quality and proper fit.
Repair or replace damaged flooring when required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow company safety procedures and job-site requirements.
Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members.

Qualifications

Previous flooring installation experience preferred.
Knowledge of flooring materials and installation techniques.
Ability to read measurements and follow installation plans.
Good attention to detail and workmanship.
Ability to use common hand and power tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license may be required.
Ability to lift, carry, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

Experience with hardwood, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate, tile, or carpet installation.
Experience with floor preparation and leveling.
Strong customer-service and communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot installation problems and complete projects efficiently.

Work Environment

This position may involve working in residential and commercial construction sites. The job requires physical activity, including lifting flooring materials, kneeling, bending, standing, and working with tools.

Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
