Schedule
Schedules are based on client needs and employee availability. Opportunities may include:
- Day shifts
- Evening/second shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekend shifts
- On-call opportunities
Travel: Within approximately a 60-mile radius.
Responsibilities
As a PSS, you’ll provide kind, dependable support to clients where they live and in their communities. Your role may involve:
- Supporting clients with personal care and hygiene
- Helping with daily living activities
- Preparing meals
- Keeping the home tidy with light housekeeping and laundry
- Being a friendly presence through companionship and respite care
- Getting clients to appointments, stores, and errands
- Reminding clients to take their medications
- Helping clients move safely and walk
- Noting and reporting changes or incidents
- Responding calmly and appropriately in an emergency
- Taking on other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- PSS certification or current PSS candidate
- Previous personal care, home care, hospital, nursing home, or direct-care experience preferred
- Compassionate and dependable approach to client care
- Ability to read, write, and follow directions
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
- Successful completion of a required criminal history check
Compensation: $40,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
