This is a customer-facing role for someone who has done the work in the field. You’ll walk job sites, scope systems, and build proposals that win the job and protect margin. Your field background is what lets you catch scope issues and installation problems before they reach the crew.
What You’ll Do
- Run on-site assessments for installs, replacements, and repairs, covering scope, access, and code/permitting
- Build accurate estimates using company pricing, material costs, and labor and margin targets
- Prepare good/better/best options, including maintenance agreements, IAQ, and financing where they fit
- Review plans, specs, and load calcs to size systems correctly
- Present proposals to customers in clear, honest terms, then follow up to close
- Flag scope creep and prepare change orders
- Work with the GM, dispatch, and techs on scope questions during jobs
- Keep estimates, notes, and photos current in HouseCall Pro, and track close rate, average ticket, and turnaround time
What You Bring
- 3–5+ years of HVAC estimating experience
- Hands-on HVAC field service experience, both residential and commercial (required)
- Working knowledge of VRF, VAV, RTUs, and commercial split systems
- A track record of estimates that close and hold margin
- Experience with HouseCall Pro or Jobber
- Comfort presenting proposals face to face
Nice to Have
- Commercial install or service background
- Proven close rates as an estimator or in field sales
What We Offer
- $65,000–$85,000 base, depending on experience

Compensation: $58,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
