Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Law Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will provide assistance to medical providers, attorneys, and legal counsels, ensuring they are able to carry out their duties. You will conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and compile case materials, and MEDICAL RECORDS. The ideal candidate is hardworking and detail-oriented. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wishes to experience law and fast paced Spine ortho surgery & Pain management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare case-specific documents, including medical records, estimates, bills, and affidavits.
- Ensure that case-related documents are well organized and available for review
- Authorize medical procedures and communicate with attorneys and case managers.
- Maintain and update documentation
- Maintain track of transactions and schedules of all medical/legal activities of the providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent is required
- Notary Public Certification is preferred
- Previous experience as a Law Clerk or in a similar position is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.
- Highly organized with document management experience
- Excellent research skills
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Next Generation Orthopedic and Spine Institute (NXGOSI) is an orthopedic practice established in 2014 by Dr. Anthony Owusu who has performed hundreds of spinal procedures and has published and presented industry-leading research in spine surgery. Dr. James Carson, a highly sought-after orthopedic surgeon, joined the practice in 2022, greatly expanding the range of services offered to patients. Our services revolve around the treatment of pain associated with the back, neck, hips, knees, shoulders, and anywhere in between. This includes the bones, joints, ligaments, nerves, and tendons. We offer in-house injections, referrals for conservative care, and surgeries. Our team is in the process of adding physical therapy to our list of services.
