About the position:

U.S. Lawns in Jackson, MS is looking for a responsible and hardworking Landscaping Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in Ridgeland, MS. Responsibilities:

Perform regular lawn maintenance, including mowing, edge trimming, trimming, and blower cleaning.
Maintain plant areas by removing weeds, mulching, and pruning shrubs and hedges.
Operate and maintain commercial landscaping equipment, such as lawn mowers, brush cutters, and blowers.
Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as directed.
Assist with seasonal landscaping improvements and plant planting.
Ensure that work areas are clean, safe, and meet quality standards at the end of work.
Communicate effectively with crew leaders and teammates about daily tasks.

Requirements:

Previous experience in gardening, lawn care, or maintenance of green areas is preferred.
Ability to operate commercial lawn mowers, hand tools, and motorized equipment.
Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform manual labor.
Be a responsible, punctual person with a good disposition to work in a team.
Valid driver's license, although not required.
Ability to follow directions and pay attention to detail.
A pesticide applicator's license will be valued, although it is not mandatory.

Compensation: $16.01 - $20.00 per hour
