About the Role:
STEM Child Care in Castle Rock, CO is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Preschool/Pre-K Teacher to inspire young minds during their most formative years. Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate STEM-integrated lesson plans for preschool and Pre-K students
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports social-emotional development
- Observe, assess, and document individual student progress and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and classroom activities
- Lead and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Maintain classroom materials, supplies, and learning centers in alignment with curriculum goals
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare health and safety standards
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field preferred
- Colorado ECE Director or Lead Teacher qualification or equivalent credentials
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a lead preschool or Pre-K classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood developmental milestones and best practices
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine passion for working with young children
- Strong communication and organizational skills
