About the Role:
Veterans Moving Forward is looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to join our passionate team. Responsibilities:
- Balance and maintain accurate ledgers bank accounts.
- Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management.
- Monitor office expenses and enter cash receipts.
- Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances.
- Develop monthly financial statements to include statement of activities, statement of financial position, and profit and loss reports.
- Process payroll and track payroll data.
- Assist with tax payments and returns.
- Assist with charitable state registrations.
- Record financial transactions, reconcile bank statements and record keeping for VMF.
- Work with the Senior Staff and other vendors as needed.
Requirements:
- Degree in accounting or related field preferred
- At least 3 years’ experience working accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, etc.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Experience with data entry and record keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially excel.
- Fluent in Quickbook.

Compensation: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

VMF’s services are available to any Veteran of any generation, who served honorably, has physical and/or mental challenges resulting from military operations and/or accident or disease experienced during or subsequent to military service, lives in the continental United States, Hawaii or Alaska, and can benefit from a service dog.
