Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher
Discovery Point Hamilton Mill is looking for an experienced, caring, and dependable Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher to join our team! If you enjoy helping young children learn and grow and work well as part of a team, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the lead teacher to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom.
- Assist with daily lessons, learning activities, and classroom routines.
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic development.
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom and supervise children throughout the day.
- Use positive guidance and build supportive relationships with children and families.
- Follow Georgia Pre-K, DECAL, and center policies and procedures.
- Participate in required training and professional development.
Requirements

2–3 years of experience working with GA PREK children is required.
- Must already have a credential or degree that qualifies for a Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher position, such as a valid CDA, Georgia paraprofessional certificate, qualifying early childhood education certificate or diploma, or an associate degree or higher.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
- Dependable, patient, organized, and able to take initiative.
