Verify Every Invoice. Catch Costly Errors. Keep Projects Moving.

We’re looking for a detail-driven Accounts Payable Clerk who makes sure every invoice is accurately coded, properly approved, backed by the right paperwork and charged to the right job, the first time.

Company Overview
Mooring is a third-generation, family-owned commercial disaster mitigation company with a commercial restoration division (reconstruction) and a remodel division (planned construction). We’re professionals working for professionals in major industries coast-to-coast, minimizing business downtime for our clients with transparent, efficient, and effective methods of mitigation, restoration, and remodel. Whether it’s damage from water, fire, mold, a natural disaster, or a refresh/rebrand — when you need us, we’re already there.

These Core Values Drive Us
Join a team where Family Values, Integrity, Humility, Boldness, and Excellence are more than just words—they’re the foundation of everything we do. Our mission is To Honor God Through Restoring Lives and Building Futures, and that starts with investing in our people. Here, you’ll find a purpose-driven career, a supportive team, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact. Choose a workplace where your values align with your work, and where every day is an opportunity to grow, serve, and succeed.

Does the Following Describe You?
We are looking for a humble, hungry, and smart individual who embodies our core values, maintains a positive attitude, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. You notice the duplicate charge or the missing approval that others miss, and you’d rather ask one more question than let an error through. You stay organized when invoices pile up and keep vendors and project managers informed without being asked.

Who We Want
We’re seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance & Accounting team and keep vendor and subcontractor invoices accurate, approved and paid on schedule across our mitigation, restoration and construction projects. The ideal candidate is precise, dependable and comfortable working with numbers and people alike. This role is for someone who wants to build an accounting career inside a fast-moving, project-based business where accurate records directly support the work in the field.

What You’ll Do

  • Review, code and enter vendor, subcontractor, equipment rental, material and labor agency invoices in Acumatica.
  • Check invoices for accuracy, required approvals and supporting documentation, and catch duplicates or incomplete submissions before they’re processed.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders, delivery tickets, rental agreements and timesheets.
  • Work with Project Managers and Project Accounts to confirm job, phase and cost codes and to correct coding issues.
  • Route invoices for approval and follow up on missing sign-offs or paperwork.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and research missing invoices, credits and payment discrepancies.
  • Keep vendors updated on invoice and payment status with prompt, professional communication.
  • Support new vendor setup by collecting W-9s, certificates of insurance and subcontractor packets.
  • Review employee reimbursements and company credit card activity for proper coding and approval.
  • Keep AP records organized and audit-ready, and help with month-end close and audit requests.
Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry and reconciliation.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Accounting or Business.
  • 1–3 years of accounts payable, bookkeeping or accounting support experience.
  • Experience in construction, restoration, emergency services or project-based accounting.
  • Experience with Acumatica or another ERP or accounting system.
  • Experience with vendor invoice processing, W-9 documentation, corporate credit card reconciliation or payment preparation.
