Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to champion workplace safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory adherence across our construction and manufacturing operations.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to champion workplace safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory adherence across our construction and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement EHS management programs aligned with OSHA and applicable state regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and drive corrective actions to closure.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing EHS training for crews and subcontractors.
- Maintain EHS documentation: JSAs, permits, SDS, incident logs, and regulatory filings.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses; report root cause and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with owner EHS teams and government regulators on inspections and audits.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a continuous basis; no criminal record.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, EHS, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (construction) and 1910 (general industry).
- OSHA 30 certification preferred; first aid / CPR a plus.
- Experience on industrial, MEP, or advanced manufacturing construction sites.
- Strong communication skills; able to enforce standards firmly and respectfully.
- Willing to work on-site and travel between projects as needed.
