About the Role:
A Condominium Association is looking for a skilled and dependable Superintendent (Floater) to join our high-rise residential team in Jersey City, NJ. This is a dynamic, hands-on role perfect for a seasoned building professional who thrives in a fast-paced, luxury residential environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance across high-rise residential building systems
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and work orders
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and building management on repairs and projects
- Maintain common areas, amenities, and building exteriors to the highest standards
- Support building operations across multiple properties as a floater superintendent
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and condominium association policies
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Superintendent or Building Engineer in a high-rise residential setting
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call availability for emergencies
- NJ Boiler License or relevant trade certifications preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with residents
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across locations
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and well-kept property
