Independent Manufacturer's Sales Rep – Consumer Products, Retail & Wholesale (Remote, Commission-Only, Non-Exclusive)
Company: Flag Stars Inc. (FlagStars), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Jurupa Valley, CA
Location: Remote, US (open territories)
Engagement: Independent business (LLC, corporation or sole proprietorship), commission only, non-exclusive. This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity, not a W-2 employee position. No base salary.

FlagStars is a veteran-owned American flag company. Our American flags are made in the USA. We also offer flagpoles, hardware and accessories (imported) and hats/apparel decorated in the USA. Kit includes a flag made in the USA and an imported flagpole and hardware.
Who we want
Independent reps and agencies who already sell consumer products into stores, retail chains and distributors, and want an evergreen, patriotic line that reorders every season. We pay for results: new accounts that have not bought from us before.
Where you'll sell
- Regional retail chains, independent retail groups, big-box and distributor buyers.
- Gift and souvenir shops, hardware and farm & ranch, outdoor and sporting goods, garden centers, funeral homes, schools, veteran and civic organizations, promotional products and corporate gifting.
- Seasonal peaks: Memorial Day, July 4th, Veterans Day and America 250.
- Non-exclusive: keep your other non-competing lines. Set your own schedule and methods. No fees to join.
Compensation
Commission only, no base salary. Competitive commission on new accounts you open, with extra bonuses as accounts grow. Paid monthly with itemized statements, and your leads are protected once registered. Commission rates and bounty details are shared during the interview.
Required qualifications
- Your own sales agency or registered business, with a W-9 and a current line card or website.
- 3+ years selling consumer products to store owners, retail buyers or distributors.
- At least 3 accounts where you placed orders in the last 90 days, with one buyer reference we may contact.
- Complementary (not competing) lines that put you in front of the right buyers.
- A defined territory and your own vehicle, phone and tools.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience placing products in retail chains, big-box, grocery or mass retail (e.g. Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe's, Tractor Supply, Ace, regional grocery chains): vendor onboarding, line reviews, category buyers, planograms and retail programs.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, and long-term buyer relationships.
- A written first-90-day plan for introducing our line.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Comfortable using AI tools for prospecting and outreach.
