Staging Dimensions is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist full-time day shift. Candidates must have at least three years of hands-on experience operating manual lathes, milling machines and be able to work independently while maintaining quality and safety.
Responsibilities
· Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines.
· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
· Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds.
· Machine parts to specified dimensions and tolerances.
· Inspect work using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and tape measures.
· Use hand tools to deburr, finish, and fit parts.
· Perform routine machine care and maintain a clean, organized work area.
· Communicate material, tooling, and production issues promptly.
Qualifications
· Minimum of three years of experience working with manual lathes and mills.
· Ability to set up machines and complete jobs independently.
· Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
· Strong understanding of shop math, fractions, decimals, and tolerances.
· Ability to produce consistent, accurate work.
· Dependable attendance, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe work practices.
