About the Role:
WBM INC is looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Machine Operator to join our full-time team in Wheeling, IL. Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision parts per specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs
- Perform routine machine inspections, adjustments, and basic maintenance
- Conduct quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely and efficiently
- Identify and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety standards
Requirements:
- Prior experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers required
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming is a plus
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment
