Animal Medical Center is looking for full time grooming assistant for our grooming department. The schedule would be Monday - Friday (some holidays would be needed in the kennel department). The hours needed are between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (or depending on number of grooms for the day).

WHAT ARE THE DUTIES OF A GROOMING ASSISTANT?
As a grooming assistant you will continue to establish excellence in pet healthcare by:

- Perform baths, nail trims, and brush outs as trained by our groomers
- Ensure that grooming dogs are walked throughout the day and the grooming room is clean and disinfected
- Facilitate receiving grooming dogs for the groomer
- Work closely and respectfully with other team members in the veterinary practice ensure a positive client experience
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

- Willing to learn and grow in the grooming department
- Excellent customer service skills both written and verbal
- Love people as much as you love pets
- Able to stand for long periods of time, be able to lift up to 50 pounds and more assisted
Preferred skill is previous bathing experience, however, it is not required
WHAT OTHER THINGS DO I NEED TO KNOW?
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
- The work schedule is full time, with benefits (insurance, vacation, 401K)
- Dependability and being flexible is essential
- Upon conditional offer of employment, you successfully complete a drug screen and background check
