MY STORY
My love for authentic street food takes me back to the age of ten. Every morning was spent throwing dough in a wood oven and selling it to a hungry village. I discovered my craft, and it gave me purpose.
On my way back to LA, I found myself missing the authentic flavors. The street food just wasn't the same out here. I built a wood oven and would spend hours a day cooking something money couldn't buy. I found my passion. At gatherings I would hear "the flavors bring back memories of my childhood in Mexico". I wanted to share this experience with the world, but I wasn't ready yet.
I spent nearly every day for several years perfecting my recipes. My goal was to serve authentic Mexican street food with an unforgettable taste. In 2019, I opened Papi Tacos & Churros in the heart of Los Angeles. Word-of-mouth brought us instant fame as people from different parts of the world lined up to order. Bringing people together and feeding them happiness accomplished my dream. Thank you for being part of it today.
