Job Summary
Often the first person to greet and work with patients, so outstanding customer service skills, compassion, and empathy are critical in this role. This position includes scheduling and pre-registering patients seeking an appointment, creating new medical records, entering and verifying demographic, account, and coverage information. The Receptionist schedules appointments, takes, routes, and follows up on messages. The Receptionist ensures that patients flow through the scheduling and registration processes quickly and efficiently following consistent processes, while also delivering great experiences through compassionate interaction.
Responsibilities
- Greets visitors and obtains name and other pertinent information, notifying appropriate individuals of visitor's arrival.
- Calls patients to confirm next day/days appts
- Scans New Patient paperwork.
- Answers and routes calls, as necessary, to appropriate individuals.
- Collects patient payments, maintains cash box and deposit records.
- Maintains log of all calls requiring further action.
- Accepts and signs for packages and notifies addressee of package arrival.
- Performs a variety of routine clerical tasks.
- Maintains clean and orderly reception area.
- Retrieves, sorts, and delivers mail.

Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Healthcare, or other related field.
Experience:
- Minimum: Some previous work-related experience
- Preferred: Previous experience working in scheduling, registration, or a call center
Skills: Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication. Bilingual preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent, compassionate customer service. Ability to operate a computer. Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate with a variety of personnel. Ability to prioritize and complete required tasks within established time schedules.

HART IVF Fertility Clinic formerly known as The North Houston Center for Reproductive Medicine (NHCRM) is an office based fertility program offering a wide assortment of diagnostic and therapeutic options for the treatment of infertility. We are located in The Woodlands and Kingwood, both large suburban areas about 30 miles north of downtown Houston.
Our Center provides individualized patient treatment plans to make available the latest advanced assisted reproductive technologies while utilizing the cost effective advantage of the office setting.
The Center’s laboratory specializes in on-site assisted reproductive technologies, including diagnostic andrology, embryology and endocrinology services. The Center has the following credentials and certifications:
- Weirong Shang, Ph.D., H.C.L.D., and the Center's IVF laboratory director. Dr. Shang is certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis to direct the laboratory.
- Our Andrology and Endocrinology laboratories are inspected and certified by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
- Our In Vitro Fertilization Laboratory is certified by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
- Our IVF Center is a member of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART).
- The director of our Center, Dorothy Roach, M.D., is board certified in both Reproductive Endocrinology and in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
