Position Summary:
This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of export shipments while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of air export processes, and the ability to manage and coordinate all facets of export operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare airway bills to meet gateway and airline cutoffs on time.

Handle RFQs promptly and ensure accurate quotations.
Manage priority shipments with care and urgency.
Prepare all necessary export documents, including AES filings.
Coordinate with warehouses, gateways, and destination offices/agents to ensure seamless operations.
Communicate with internal customer service teams to address requirements, exceptions, or discrepancies in freight documents or physical cargo.
Monitor and manage daily operations to meet customer requirements and maintain thorough communication with clients.
Ensure timely billing and accurate documentation of export files.
Track shipments through transit points to final destinations, providing timely updates to customer service.
Set up reporting systems to monitor key accounts and shipment activities daily.
Oversee special projects as assigned by management.
Ensure compliance with Compass Quality standards and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in freight forwarding, with at least 23 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Expertise: Prior experience in air export for a freight forwarder is required.
Certifications:
- IATA Certification
- Hazmat Training
- Cargowise knowledge (certification preferred)
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and handle priorities efficiently.
Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Customer Service: A proactive, customer-centric approach with a "can-do" attitude.
Education:
Associate's degree is preferred but not mandatory if paired with relevant air export and freight forwarding experience.
Compensation: $68,640.00 - $79,040.00 per year
