Position Summary

The Client System Engineer ensures reliable system operations so end users can focus on their business. This role blends technical skill with a consultative approach, serving as a trusted advisor to clients while providing responsive support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a client consultant, supporting technology strategy, security, and investment planning.
  • Provide courteous, timely support via phone, portal, and email.
  • Provision and configure systems for new hires.
  • Prioritize and resolve incidents per SLA processes.
  • Use remote tools/diagnostics; perform hands-on fixes when required.
  • Install/configure hardware and software across desktops, servers, and networks.
  • Manage antivirus tools, including remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Administer servers via Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File & Print.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and automation deployment via RMM.
  • Establish strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Travel locally to client sites as needed.
  • Uphold company safety and security standards.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of system administration and end-user support/consulting.
  • Prior Managed Services Provider (MSP) experience preferred.
  • Microsoft 365 administration (Entra & Intune a plus).
  • Experience with Windows desktop/server OS (7, 10, 2008–2016) and macOS.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to serve clients in West Michigan.
  • Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and follow-through.

Preferred

  • Active Directory and networking knowledge.
  • NinjaOne RMM and Autotask PSA (or equivalent).
  • Microsoft, CompTIA A+, or Network+ certifications.

Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
