Are you an experienced Personal Lines insurance professional who enjoys helping clients, solving problems, and building strong relationships?
We're looking for a dependable, knowledgeable Personal Lines Insurance Account Manager to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who enjoys the combination of client service, account management, and consultative sales and wants to continue developing their insurance career.
You'll work closely with clients, carriers, producers, and other team members to make sure customers receive excellent service and the right coverage as their needs change. You'll also have opportunities to round accounts, identify additional coverage needs, generate referrals, and contribute directly to agency growth.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Personal Lines clients by phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Provide friendly, professional, and responsive service to existing clients and prospective customers.
- Review coverage and premiums at renewal and identify opportunities to improve protection or value.
- Process endorsements, requotes, remarketing, renewals, and policy changes.
- Look for account-rounding, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities when appropriate.
- Discuss Commercial Lines, Farm/Ag, and Life opportunities and make referrals to the appropriate team.
- Ask existing clients for referrals and make sure those opportunities are properly documented and followed up on.
- Process and issue new policies when appropriate, including gathering information, preparing quotes, obtaining applications, collecting payments, and submitting information to carriers
- Assist clients with certificates and information requested by banks, mortgage companies, and auto dealers.
- Receive claim information, explain available coverage, and assist clients when issues arise.
- Work with clients to resolve underwriting requirements and maintain appropriate coverage.
- Maintain accurate client records and keep agency management systems and communications organized.
- Stay current on carrier websites, agency technology, underwriting guidelines, and eligibility requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, seminars, and professional development.
- Follow agency workflows and look for ways to improve processes and efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with producers, account managers, carriers, and other team members.
What We're Looking For
- Customer service experience required.
- Property & Casualty license preferred upon hire; required within 6 months.
- CISR or CIC designation preferred; CISR or CIC required within 24–36 months.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with computers, agency management systems, email, phones, and other technology.
- Professional, ethical, and dependable.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to continue learning and developing professionally.
