Job description - Patient Services Representative for Pediatric Dental office PART TIME
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information for billing purposes
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Assist with administrative support tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or dental receptionist role is preferred (over one year)
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
- Proficiency in using dental or medical practice management systems (e.g., Softdent, Dolphin)
- Knowledge of dental administrative support systems and procedures
- Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using computer software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (one year of experience)
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Fluent in Portuguese is a bonus
