Job Summary
We are seeking an HR & Operations Support Coordinator to join our team! As a HR & Operations Support Coordinator, you will support the agency in maintaining regulatory compliance, issuing Plans of Correction, facilitating performance reviews, and promoting staff growth. This independent contractor will work with leadership to identify areas of concern, guide corrective actions, and strengthen team effectiveness across group home and community-based settings. Ultimately your success will be measured by the success of those around you, and how well you can identify new opportunities for staff development. The ideal candidate has exceptional problem-solving skills, experience building people, and the ability to work with several performance issues simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Compliance & Oversight
Compliance & Oversight
- Review documentation, processes, and practices for alignment with APD, AHCA, and other governing bodies
- Identify areas of non-compliance and develop written Plans of Correction (POC)
- Support internal audits and readiness for external monitoring visits
- Provide feedback to management on areas requiring immediate attention
Staff Development & Team Building
- Assist in conducting or organizing performance evaluations for direct care staff
- Recommend professional development activities and on-the-job coaching needs
- Offer guidance on corrective action plans and improvement tracking
- Facilitate occasional team check-ins or morale-building sessions (as needed)
Documentation & Communication
- Maintain clear, professional records of POCs and staff evaluations
- Communicate findings and recommendations in writing.
- Meetings for scheduled updates
Qualifications
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience developing employees
- The ability to work well independently
- Experience with managing caregiving staff, a plus
Compensation: $45,000.00 per year

Several years went by and Mrs. Filer had a vision to start a 24-hour housing opportunity within the Agency that has now created several homes, where we currently house individuals with developmental disabilities.

The Mission of Unique Caring Opportunities is to provide quality supportive services that are Unique to the needs of Persons with Developmental Disabilities. In addition, Unique Caring Opportunities will provide support and assistance to the families and/or guardians of those being served through the Home and Community Based Service Medicaid Waiver and Family Supported Living Waiver and assist the individuals being served by both the HCBS Medicaid Waiver and the Family Supported Living Waiver to achieve a prosperous and fulfilling life within the community and to become more independent in making choices that pertain to and impact their life.
