As Assistant Director, you’ll help lead our nationally accredited private preschool while working alongside a collaborative team committed to providing exceptional early learning experiences. What You’ll Do:

Support School Leadership & Operations
  • Help oversee day-to-day operations of the school and serve as acting Director in their absence
  • Uphold Primrose and state licensing standards to ensure a safe, nurturing environment
  • Manage staff schedules, payroll, billing, and reporting
  • Collaborate on strategies to grow enrollment and support family satisfaction
Develop and Inspire Staff
  • Lead by example, modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassion
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts
  • Coach and mentor teachers through classroom observations and professional development
  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture that empowers educators to thrive
Deliver Curriculum & Classroom Excellence
  • Ensure fidelity to the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum
  • Assist with lesson planning, classroom quality checks, and developmental assessments
  • Support teachers with behavior management, parent communication, and instructional strategies
Promote Family & Community Engagement
  • Create strong connections with enrolled families through regular communication and events
  • Promote school events and initiatives via social media, newsletters, and local partnerships
  • Collaborate with our leadership team to represent Primrose in the greater community
Qualifications:
  • Meet all local childcare licensing requirements and Primrose Schools standards
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field strongly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a licensed early childhood program
  • Prior leadership or management experience in education or childcare setting preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and meet physical demands of the role
