Human Resources Specialist – Part-Time
 
Description: 
The Human Resources Specialist provides human resources support for the CEO/Owner, key leadership and employees by handling a wide range of human resources and payroll tasks to ensure smooth workplace operations and support organizational growth.  This position drives recruitment and onboarding, manages employee relations, administers benefits, and maintains compliance with labor laws and company policies. The incumbent also plays a vital role in fostering a positive work environment and promoting a culture of fairness and respect. This is a part-time position with flexible hours. This position is 100% in person in our Cranston office for the first six months after which hybrid/remote work is an option.

Responsibilities:
 
Manage company administrative functions
·       Maintain team member records
·       Maintain company benefit programs and benefit enrollment
·       Update company payroll information and coordinate payroll run
·       Create and update job descriptions
·       Ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations
·       Maintain company handbook
 
Implement ideas to create a strong company culture
·       Coordinate team building activities
·       Coordinate company events
·       Develop and implement creative ideas to make this a fun place to work
 
Qualifications:
 
Must haves
·       A minimum of 3 years direct experience with payroll, compliance and administrative duties
·       Hands on experience processing payroll and managing benefit programs
·       Self-awareness, empathy, and a positive attitude that is contagious
·       Strong analytical, verbal communication, and writing skills
·       Proficiency in Microsoft products
·       The desire to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment
 
Nice to Haves
·       Bachelor’s Degree
·       ADP payroll experience
·       SHRM-CP or other HR professional certifications
 
Pay:
·       Base Pay $24.00 - $29.00 
·       Estimated Annual Pay $25,000 - $30,000 based on 20 hours per week

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
