Immediate Supervisor: The Local Committee and State Director
The local director is ultimately a developer of volunteers and other leaders and is the face of the local chapter.
QUALIFICATIONS – The Local Direct must:
1. Have a demonstrated love for Jesus Christ and prayer, and an unquestionable passion to reach kids with the Gospel.
2. Must be able to recognize how God moves in our midst as He builds the local work one person/one church at a time.

3. Be a continual learner, relational, and demonstrate an understanding of how to lead others.
4. Love the local church and other Christian organizations and value them as ministry partners.
5. Have skills to identify other leaders, organize groups, cast vision and evaluate the ministry programs.
6. Have extensive experience in Biblically teaching and evangelizing children.
7. Have a flawless record in behavior towards children and families.
8. Have experience discipling and training staff and volunteers.
9. Be an effective teacher willing to lead, coach and correct staff and volunteers.
10. Have at least one year of Bible College or Seminary training, maintaining a good academic performance.

GENERAL – The local director is responsible for:
1. Fulfilling the purpose of Child Evangelism Fellowship in the chapter.
2. Executing and accomplishing the plans and objectives of USA Ministries, the local committee and the state board.
3. Overseeing all aspects of the local chapter.
SPIRITUAL - The local director should demonstrate a balanced approach to Christian living in:

5. Through an understanding that the foundation of ministry is prayer by staying committed to developing, implementing, and growing an effective prayer program.
MINISTRY – The local director must:

MINISTRY – The local director must:
1. Promote the ministry in the local chapter with the goal of increasing church partnerships and primary ministries of Good News Clubs and 5-Day Clubs.
2. Recruit staff and volunteers, ensuring that they are adequately trained and equipped for ministry.

3. Maintain direct ministry contact with children through CEF sponsored programs.
4. Build and maintain Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA) ministry. Enlists staff and volunteers to help recruit short-term missionaries. Provide additional ministry opportunities to CYIA missionaries.
5. Arrange and help present training such as Kick-Off & Quick Start Training for ASGNC in the fall and Jump Start in February for CYIA and potential CYIA.

2. Strive to develop and establish ministry among the children in unreached cities, towns and school districts within the local chapter area.
3. Recruit people to do the work of the ministry (both paid and volunteer).
4. Meet regularly with the paid and volunteer staff members to provide encouragement, counsel, evaluation of ministry goals and leadership development.
5. Encourage the local committee to take advantage of available committee training.
6. Work with the local committee and paid staff to raise sufficient funds to accomplish the plans and objectives laid out by the local committee.
7. Follow the policies and procedures of the state and national organizations and see that all staff and volunteers are adhering to the policies.
8. Complete routine employee appraisals with all paid staff.
9. Oversee (and teaches if necessary) the teacher training program and provide the necessary training for the staff to perform their job well.

1. Ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed.
2. Keep adequate records.
3. Work with the local committee to develop an annual budget for approval by the local committee and submission to the State Board.
4. Ensure that all reports, minutes, communications and moneys are forwarded to the proper offices in a timely manner.

Software Responsibilities
The following skills will be needed. The level of proficiency can be developed.
1. MS PowerPoint and e-mail intermediate.
2. MS Publisher, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat basic.
3. Computers, Projectors and Blockrockers are used by some ASGNCs.
4. MailChimp site is used to connect with volunteers and to give updates on ministry

Compensation: $3,500.00 - $3,921.00 per month

Child Evangelism Fellowship ® (CEF) is a church-assist organization focused on evangelizing and teaching children ages 4-14. CEF Virginia trains ministry teams of volunteers to conduct evangelistic events. We serve churches and individuals by equipping them to fulfill the great commission as an ambassador for Christ – reconciling the lost with the message of the gospel.
Our Focus Is On Children And Church Ministries
Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) of Virginia is a church-assist organization focused on evangelizing and teaching children ages 4-14. Simply stated, CEF Virginia trains ministry teams who volunteer to conduct evangelistic events usually outside the church walls. Child Evangelism Fellowship of Virginia serves churches and individuals by equipping them to fulfill the great commission. We help them to be an ambassador for Christ, equipping them to reconcile the lost with the message of the gospel.
CEF Virginia serves all of the state chapters throughout Virginia. We have several different ministries for children such as the Good News Club, 5-Day Club and CYIA. We host several events through these ministries thereby serving the churches with proven children’s ministry training, materials and methods. This in turn allows us to lead the chapter communities in evangelizing children
