New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute Position:
Clerical Assistant Neurology Division
NJPNI is seeking a Full-Time Clerical Assistant for our Neurology Division. Applicants must have previous experience working in a large medical practice. They must be prepared to multi-task as they will be expected to work on multiple administrative projects. They will report directly to the Director of the Neurology Division, in coordination with the Assistant Practice Administrator. Applicants should be friendly, compassionate, and looking for longevity with a company. Excellent multi-tasking and communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure all licensure for Neurology MD’s and NP’s is up to date (medical license, DEA, CDS, malpractice insurance, etc.)
· Ensure all hospital credentialing requirements are up to date
· Ensure all board certification requirements are up to date
· Ensure membership requirements for professional organizations (e.g. AAN) is up to date
· Complete any necessary credentialing for hospitals and insurance companies for Neurology MD’s and NP’s
· Coordinate the on-call schedules for Neurology at NJPNI and at all affiliated hospitals
· Coordinate all pharmaceutical reps for Neurology lunches/breakfasts
· Communicate with school Child Study Teams to coordinate Neurology Evaluations (including obtaining patient information/intake, sending invoices, sending reports, collecting payments)
· Coordinate all IME’s performed by the Neurology Division
· Coordinate Neurology marketing with marketing team
· Send invoices to and ensure payment of on-call fees from hospitals
· Occasionally travel to Hackensack or other NJPNI locations as the situation may demand
· Direct administrative and secretarial support to the Director of the Neurology Division
Skills:
· 2-3 years working in a medical office required
· Ability to work independently and efficiently
· Prior experience involving scheduling and credentialing strongly preferred
· Ability to be flexible and prioritize tasks
· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
· Prior Customer service experience strongly required
· Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
Salary: $23-$25/hour
Location: Primarily NJPNI’s Morristown, NJ location with occasional travel to our Hackensack location or other NJPNI locations as the situation may demand.
