About Us
Greater Insurance Service (GIS) is seeking an organized, proactive, and highly motivated individual to join our growing team. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills, and will be key in supporting the growth, recruitment, and strategic direction of our insurance operations across Property & Casualty, Commercial, and Life & Health lines.

 Position Overview
As the Organizational Development Lead, you will work closely with GIS management to develop and implement strategies that drive growth, enhance operations, and strengthen recruitment efforts. You will support agents across multiple GIS locations, provide operational support for Property & Casualty, Commercial, and Life & Health, foster relationships with key partners, and stay ahead of industry developments to ensure our continued success.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with GIS agents to identify and open new avenues for continuous growth and advancement.
  • Support the insurance needs of Property & Casualty, Commercial, and Life & Health departments.
  • Provide operational assistance to Life & Health, including coordinating with agents, assisting in process improvements, and supporting compliance efforts.
  • Lead recruitment initiatives, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and assisting in onboarding new hires.
  • Travel monthly to GIS locations (Marshfield, Durand, Pepin, Antigo, and Deerfield) and periodically visit independent agents.
  • Review profit and loss (P/L) statements with each location to ensure maximum retention and growth of Commercial, Personal Lines, and Life & Health books of business.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and professional service to agent needs; offer guidance and counsel to producers and internal staff.
  • Build and maintain relationships with company representatives, large accounts, and independent GIS agents.
  • Organize and lead annual fall agent meetings, including coordinating guest speakers and company representatives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, technologies, and market shifts; attend industry events, join professional associations, and maintain a strong professional network.
 
Schedule
In office business hours, 8am-4:30pm, with occasional remote work, some travel to mid-northern Wisconsin locations, and evening or weekend work to meet business needs.

Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving, recruitment, and strategic thinking ability.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly.
  • Insurance industry experience required, familiarity with Property & Casualty, Commercial, and Life & Health lines a plus.
  • Active Wisconsin insurance license required
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
