Mitigation Project Manager 
$55,000 - $65,000 based on experience and certification level 

The Mitigation Project Manager will be working within our Emergency Services (Mitigation) Department. The Mitigation PM is responsible for ensuring team culture, growth and development of the mitigation business, department, and staff.  
               
RESPONSIBILITES:
Team Management, Safety & Development
  • Directly manage and properly delegate the Mitigation Department staff, including emergency services and contents 
  • Communicate expectations, timelines and standards to the team
  • Recruit, train and coach Mitigation Department staff and (Labor, Mitigation Crew Leaders and Coordinators)
  • Recommend raises and growth opportunities within the team
  • Participate in the hiring process 
  • Approve hourly employees time cards on a weekly basis 
  • Conduct daily team huddles
  • Drive response and urgency
  • Maintain morale and engagement, ensuring technicians receive consistent feedback for projects/training/support
  • Monitor and address safety issues and practice safety practices including proper PPE  
  • Strengthen delegation to technicians
  • Maintain a responsible balance for the team, ensuring no burnout for self or team/technicians
Reporting & Communication
  • Use tools and reporting to budget and margin results (50%)
  • Scrub all MICA/Mitigate at least three times per week
  • Recruit vendors and subcontractors; ensure subcontractor compliance
  • Responsible for Resource Management of the following:
    • Movement, care, and inventory of equipment in the warehouse and on jobsites 
    • Tracking of assets (equipment)
    • Dispatching of Technicians 
    • On Call Schedule 
    • Vehicle Maintenance 
    • Staffing needs 
  • Complete estimates for Mitigation losses and review estimates written by Mitigation Crew Leaders 
  • Submit accurate project data, ensuring complete documentation and job notes
  • Review all jobs in RMS and provide feedback to team members
  • Monitor and communicate program performance for assigned projects
  • Update work orders for open jobs on a weekly basis, ensuring month-end costs are aligned
  • Maintain and foster relationships with insurance carriers, vendors and estimators
  • Auditing of customer service complaints  
  • Manage and exceed expectations for job profit 
  • Collection of payment from closed jobs
  • Marketing and sales of your company’s services to current and potential client base, insurance carriers, and industry professionals 
  • Attend monthly/quarterly manager meetings and industry related trainings 
  • All other duties as assigned
Competency – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Extensive knowledge of estimation software 
  • Customer Service and Communication Skills 
  • Coaching and leadership skills 
  • Effective meeting and Strategic Planning skills 
  • Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems:  RMS, Xactimate, Luxor, Sage, Contractor Connection, ADP, SharePoint, and One Drive
  • Ability to create documents and invoices
  • Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Ability to coordinate multiple jobs within the same time frame 
  • Ability to oversee a staff of up to twenty employees 
  • Stress Management and Composure 
  • Maintain a level of confidentiality 
Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • 2+ years experience in a Management or Leadership role within the Restoration Industry 
  • 5+ years experience within the Emergency Services Department within the Restoration Industry
  • Experience with writing Emergency Services (Mitigation) estimates 
Preferred Education and Experience: 
  • IICRC certifications (WTR, ASD, FSRT and AMRT)
