JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Engineer (Field Services) is responsible for providing hands-on technical expertise within the service delivery department, with a focus on on-site project execution and infrastructure deployment. The role will collaborate with other members of professional services including project managers, solutions architects, and other project engineers, while also independently leading and delivering assigned projects.
The Project Engineer is responsible for executing technical project work, including office moves, infrastructure installations, and endpoint deployments, as well as identifying and implementing the technical needs of clients. This role will both own assigned projects and support other engineers by performing on-site work and assisting with deployment activities. When travel is not required to complete assigned tasks, the Project Engineer will work remotely.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•The Project Engineer is a remote position with travel required. Engineer will be responsiblefor frequent on-site work at client locations throughout the Southern California Metropolitanarea.
•Be a technical team member within the department to implement and support technicalsolutions as required for client and internal engagements.
•Perform on-site project work, such as office relocations, infrastructure deployments, rack andstack, network hardware installations, and endpoint rollouts.
•Support project execution for other engineers by performing on-site implementation tasks,cutovers, and deployment activities.
•Execute detailed project plans, runbooks, and standardized deployment procedures toensure consistent delivery.
•Responsible for assigned projects from kickoff through completion, including coordinationwith project managers, scheduling of tasks, and ownership of technical delivery.
•Provide real-time status updates, identify risks, and escalate issues appropriately duringproject execution.
•Assist with site assessments and provide feedback to improve project planning and solutiondesign based on field experience.
•Achieve an 85% billable utilization for overall time including time for active client projectsand professional service requests
•Maintain at least a 90% CSAT score on projects delivered
• Create, update and maintain client information in our documentation system as changes in their environment occur.
• Provide exceptional customer service and timely technical expertise on projects.
• Will individually track personal metrics on projects hours for actual vs. scheduled as well as billable time percentage.
• Conduct network discoveries and client onboarding for new managed service clients.
• Submit proactive and appropriate infrastructure upgrade/project opportunities to solution architects to enable a more productive, secure and stable environment in line with best in class IT practices.
• Resolve client technical issues with little escalation.
• Adhere to and help improve service delivery procedures and company security protocols.
• Stays current with the newest technologies and actively pursues certifications in line with the service delivery strategy.
• Document and account for all time worked within the ticketing system
• Participate in the OnCall rotation as a technical resource
• Perform all other duties as required by your supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience in multiple technologies including physical and virtual infrastructure, networking components, and Microsoft environments
• Minimum 3+ years of experience within relevant IT fields
• Reliable transportation is required to perform essential job functions, including frequent travel to client sites
• Compliance with all legal requirements to operate a motor vehicle within California, including but not limited to: a valid driver’s license, current registration, no disqualifying motor vehicle violations.
• Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT Service Providers
• Proficiency in configuring and managing of network Infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless access points and VPN technologies
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Enterprise Infrastructure including Hyper-V or VMware (ESX/vCenter), Virtual Desktops and other hardware including physical servers and storage appliances.
• Experience with configuration and support of major Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Intune, Office365, Azure, SharePoint, Teams and on-premises operating systems
• Familiarity with MSP tools like Autotask PSA, Datto RMM and BCDR, BrightGauge and Hudu
• Familiarity with PowerShell and other scripting languages for application deployment, reporting and automation
• Familiarity with security technologies, risk management and industry frameworks or standards such as CIS, NIST and SOC2 or similar
• Associate or bachelor’s degree, in computer science, information sciences, or related field preferred
• Experience within the Legal Industry or Legal technology preferred
• Experience with virtual desktops, Thin Clients, AVD, DaaS or Windows 365 PC
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure project environments, including after-hours and time-sensitive cutovers
• Current Microsoft Certificates & CISCO Certifications as plus
