Salesperson – Commercial Cleaning & Facility Services

Woman-Owned Business | NYC Metro

We are a certified woman-owned commercial cleaning company seeking an experienced salesperson to grow our presence across NYC, Long Island, Westchester, Northern New Jersey, and surrounding markets.

We serve transportation/transit agencies, hospitality, utilities/energy, infrastructure operators, engineering/construction firms, corporate offices, industrial/warehouse facilities, schools, municipal/government facilities, property management, healthcare, and specialty commercial facilities.

Position Overview

This role identifies, develops, and closes commercial cleaning contracts from prospecting through award. The ideal candidate is a proactive “hunter” who can sell into complex organizations, build relationships, manage a disciplined sales process, and work with agencies, utilities, operators, engineering firms, contractors, facility managers, procurement teams, and executives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop a NYC metro sales plan; generate leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, site visits, events, and relationship development; build relationships with facility, operations, project, procurement, property management, and executive decision-makers; conduct walkthroughs; create customized cleaning solutions; prepare proposals, pricing, and presentations; maintain CRM records, pipeline, forecasting, activities, and follow-up; coordinate with operations for onboarding and retention; monitor public bids, RFPs, RFQs, and prequalification opportunities; and participate in networking organizations.

Required Qualifications

5–10 years of B2B sales or business development experience; proven success closing service contracts; CRM experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar; structured pipeline management and forecasting; excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, organization, and time-management skills; ability to work independently, meet revenue targets, travel throughout the NYC metro area, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Experience

Existing relationships, experience, or contacts in transportation/transit, including MTA, NJ Transit, Port Authority, airports, rail and bus operations; utilities/energy, including electric, gas, water, and telecommunications; infrastructure owners/operators; hotels/hospitality; engineering consulting; construction management; contractors; commercial real estate/property management; and municipal, county, and state agencies.

Experience selling for a WBE, MBE, SBE, DBE, or similar certified business is preferred, along with knowledge of supplier diversity and procurement processes used by government agencies, utilities, transportation authorities, engineering firms, contractors, and corporate clients. Candidate should identify opportunities where WBE certification supports contract awards, subcontracting, and supplier diversity initiatives.

Ideal Candidate

Builds a network of facility, operations, procurement, engineering, construction, utility, transit, and infrastructure contacts; sells into organizations with multiple decision-makers; understands public-sector procurement and bids; pursues major utility, transit, infrastructure, engineering, and contractor opportunities; uses CRM consistently; leverages WBE/SBE/DBE/supplier diversity programs; works independently; and delivers measurable results.

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission; bonuses for non-traditional sales such as consumables; business expense reimbursement; and opportunity to help build a growing woman-owned company with professional, reliable service.
