Camp Bow Wow Albany seeks exceptional people to provide loving care for dogs and a superior customer service for our pet parents. We are currently interviewing for a full-time or part-time position. Our full-time employees are expected to work 34-40 hours each week and be available for weekend work. Our part-time employees are expected to work between 20-24 hours a week and be available for weekend work.
The Operations Team Lead serves as a key operational leader responsible for maintaining the safety, health, and well-being of all dogs in our care while supporting daily camp operations and staff performance. This role requires strong leadership, excellent time management, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
The Team Leaad oversees daily dog management, staff task delegation, behavior and medical monitoring, meal prepartation, medication administration, and facility cleanliness while ensuring all operations are completed efficiently and according to schedule.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Dog Health & Safety
- Monitor and manage the safety of up to 120 dogs throughout the day.
- Ensure proper dog group placement and rotation according to temperament, size, age, and behavior.
- Continuously assess dog body language and behavior to prevent incidents and maintain a safe play environment.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to dog altercations, injuries, illnesses, and emergencies.
- Conduct wellness checks and communicate concerns to management as needed.
- Ensure all dogs receive scheduled breaks, meals, medications, and enrichment activities.
Medication Administration
- Administer medications accurately and according to written instructions including, but not limited to, oral tablets and capsules, powders and supplements, as well as eye, ear, and topical medications.
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
- Observe dogs for adverse reactions and report concerns immediately.
- Follow all medication handling and safety protocols.
Incident Documentation
- Complete detailed and accurate behavior incident reports.
- Complete medical incident reports and injury documentation.
- Document observations clearly, objectively, and professionally.
- Communicate incidents to management.
Staff Leadership & Supervision
- Direct and support Camp Counselors throughout each shift.
- Assign and manage staff rotations, ensuring counselors rotate in and out of play yards approximately every two hours.
- Delegate and monitor completion of cleaning tasks, bath appointments, enrichment activities, cleaning tasks, and facility maintenance.
- Provide guidance and coaching regarding dog behavior, handling techniques, balancing dog behaviors, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Serve as a resource for team members seeking assistance or clarification.
Schedule & Operational Management
- Ensure all daily activities are completed according to operational schedules.
- Maintain efficient workflow while balancing changing priorities.
- Adjust staffing assignments as needed throughout the day.
- Anticipate operational needs and proactively address challenges.
- Assist in maintaining smooth transitions between shifts.
Facility Maintenance & Cleaning
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout the facility.
- Clean and disinfect cabins, play areas, feeding stations, and common areas daily.
- Sweep, mop, sanitize, and perform deep-cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Wash dishes and feeding equipment.
- Maintain laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and stocking linens.
- Step into cleaning, bathing, feeding, or yard responsibilities whenever operational needs require.
Feeding & Daily Care
- Prepare and distribute meals according to feeding instructions.
- Monitor food intake and notify management of concerns.
- Ensure water bowls remain clean and filled.
- Monitor elimination habits and report abnormalities.

- Available to work weekends and holidays. We work when others are enjoying vacation and holidays.
- Be available to work during the hours of 6:15am-4:15pm and/or 12pm-8pm, as well as holidays and weekends.
