- Perform monthly bank and cash reconciliations.
- Prepare and record journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support the month-end and year-end close process through preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Review invoice accruals and respond to accounting questions from office managers.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions.
- Review financial data and prepare supporting schedules for management reporting.
- Prepare payroll-related accounting, including shared payroll allocations and intercompany transactions.
- Process and reconcile intercompany activity, including cash receipts and payables.
- Support invoicing activities across multiple business units.
- Import and reconcile banking activity within QuickBooks Online.
- Reconcile payroll data between payroll systems and the general ledger.
- Perform income reconciliations and assist with revenue analysis.
- Assist with registering new legal entities and maintaining state business registrations.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Provide support during annual financial audits and other compliance projects.
- Assist with other accounting projects and special assignments as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2–3 years of public accounting experience (preferred audit or advisory background)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar ERP/accounting software.
- Experience working with multi-entity organizations
- Familiarity with payroll accounting and intercompany accounting
- Enjoys digging into accounting issues and finding solutions.
- Takes ownership of their work and follows tasks through to completion.
- Is naturally curious and always looking for ways to improve processes.
- Communicates effectively with both accounting and non-accounting team members.
- Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
